Hi, I’m Susanne (Sue for short), an artist, designer and lifelong student of the subtle architecture of being human. My work lives at the intersection of biology and meaning, light and healing, psyche and spirit and the lived reality of transformation, coherence and integration. I’m here for the people who sense there is more to wellness than symptom management, more to spirituality than ideas and more to art than aesthetics.
A life shaped by sensitivity
My early life was shaped by a heightened sensitivity to environment and chemistry including the long-term effects of toxic fluoride and industrial emissions from phosphate fertiliser factories in places where I was born and lived as a child. That sensitivity eventually expressed itself through years of intense nervous system disruption: anxiety, panic disorder and agoraphobia that lasted over a decade. Recovery was slow and not linear but it was real.
Then, around 30 years ago, my life opened dramatically through an unexpected Kundalini awakening. It wasn’t something I was pursuing. It arrived as an intelligence of its own, an internal force that both illuminated and reorganised the way I understood emotion, suffering, energy and consciousness. Kundalini didn’t “fix” me in a simple way. It woke me up and it guided me into a deeper inquiry. What causes emotional suffering? What creates coherence inside a human being? How do we become whole, not in concept but in lived experience?
The path: tantra, psychology, alchemy and the inner sciences
Since then my life has been committed to learning through both experience and study. My path has woven through many traditions, including:
- Tantra (as a path of integration rather than escape)
- Ayurveda and the wisdom of embodied constitution
- Alchemy and the symbolic language of transformation
- Carl Jung’s Analytical Psychology, especially shadow work, complexes and individuation
- and much more across the spiritual and somatic landscape
Over time, I began to see that healing isn’t only about clearing symptoms, it’s about restoring relationship with body, with emotion, with inner truth, with life itself.
The map: Human Design and Astrology
If you’re into energetic frameworks, you might appreciate the lens through which I’m built.
In Human Design, I’m a Projector with a ⅓ profile, here to investigate deeply, learn through lived experiment and guide with precision born from real experience (not theory).
Astrologically, I’m a Pisces Sun, Cancer Moon, and Aquarius Ascendant, a blend of sensitivity, intuition, emotional depth and visionary perspective. I also carry Saturn and Neptune conjunct my Midheaven, which speaks strongly to my life’s themes, the merging of spiritual imagination with grounded structure and the call to create meaning that is both mystical and real.
For those into astrocartography: I live very close to my Neptune MC line, off-grid in rural South Australia with my Labrador Rocky, a place that feels like both sanctuary and signal.
Art as transmission
I’m also an artist.
For many years, I’ve worked as a motion graphics designer and animator, creating immersive visual works that interpret and honour stories from communities, projected onto architecture and public spaces.
This is part of my personal philosophy, that art can be a form of medicine, not because it “fixes” people, but because it restores perception.
It helps us feel again. It helps us remember. It reconnects us to something larger than our looping narratives.
LightRoom: a red light therapy studio in the making
At this point in my journey, everything I’ve lived and studied is coming into a new form.
I’m about to launch a red light therapy studio at my off-grid home. A space devoted to deep restoration through light, nervous system regulation, and cellular resourcing.
For me, red light therapy isn’t just a trend. It’s an elegant intersection of ancient wisdom and modern biology: a way to support the body’s innate intelligence, especially for those who are depleted, overwhelmed, inflamed or simply craving a return to coherence.
This studio is both practical and poetic:
a place where light becomes a language the body understands.
What I offer
My work is for the seekers and sensitives, the people who have tried many things, who are tired of being reduced to diagnoses, who suspect their story matters and who are ready to come back into relationship with themselves.
Through LightRoom, my writing and my creative projects, I aim to offer tools for transformation:
- grounded insight without dogma
- spirituality without bypass
- nervous-system intelligence without cold clinical distance
- and beauty that genuinely supports healing
If you’re here, it’s likely because something in you recognises that wellness is not just physical, it’s energetic, emotional, symbolic and deeply human.
I’m glad you found your way here.
With warmth,
Sue
